This is an incredibly helpful critique and I appreciate it so much. Especially the paintover, it shows how much further I could have (should!) taken this piece. It's a million times better. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this! I can definitely see now how everything was too soft, and pretty much all the same color. And I really do need to work on drawing forms better, and learn to express light, color, and edge quality on those forms. So I'm going to take this to heart, and practice, and work on it more. I have a long way to go! But it's fun to learn.

Your version looks incredible, by the way! I'm a bit jealous, but it's very inspiring and I'm super grateful for your helpful critique. I'm going to study this now. :]
